Cultural Achievements

Our School team of Soumil (Class VIII) and Hirdae (Class IX) won the Grand Finale of NETCHAMPS (A quiz on Net safety), conducted by Hindustan Times in association with connect broadband on September 9, 2016 at St. Soldier International School Mohali.They received laptops in addition to trophies.

Our School team comprising of Aditya Prasad (VIII-G) and Gursimran Singh (VII-G) won Second Prize in Wild Wisdom Quiz 2016 (Middlel Level 6-8), conducted in Learning Path School, Mohali. Our Junior level team (Classes 3-5) comprising of Nehal Bansal (V-A) and Divija Dewan (IV-F) got consolation prize. 18 Schools participated in the Junior level and 22 in the Middle level category.

Our School team comprising of Tonishka Singh (Class IX H) and Mehar Somal (IX B) won ‘ENCYCLOPS’- An Inter-School Quiz Competition, held on 12th August 2016 at Gurukul, Sector 20, Panchkula. 26 Schools participated in the competition. The winners received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 2100/-

Our School team won  the Annual Inter DPS Dance Festival on August 6, 2016 . The dance competition featured Seventeen dance teams from North Zone-1. The  theme ‘of the competition was ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotir Gamaya’.

Pallavi Khatri (Class XII) represented Mohammad Ataul Gani Osmani in Indo-Pak Historic Cabinet Meeting and was awarded ‘The Best Delegate’ award in the Indian Cabinet at BVC MUN Conference held from 5th to 7th August 2016 at Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh.

Our school team comprising of Ishaan Bains (Class X H), Aum Chopra (Class X B) and Uday (Class X H) ,secured Third position in Doon International Parliamentary Debate Championship 2016. 56 teams participated in the event.

Our School team participated in LAAM Exporama 2016– an Inter School Competition. This annual feature is held in the memory of Late Lala Amarnath Aggarwal Ji, a renowned Philanthropist and founder Vice Chairman, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula. The School organised various events in order to enhance child’s’ proficiency in music, art, dance etc. The events were organised on 22nd and 23rd July 2016. Our school participated in various events and we stood Second in ‘Bollywood Tickets to Monuments‘ where Pallavi Khatri (Class XII) presented the video on the competition day.

Pallavi and Harman (Class XII) got high Commendation Award in Model United Nations Conference 2016 organised at Strawberry Fields. Mayank (Class XII) received the special mention certificate for the same.

Our School team comprising of Simran (Class XII), Nikhil Sharma (Class XI), Aaditya Prasad (Class VIII), Sahil Sood (Class VIII), Yashpreet Kaur (Class VIII), Tanya Thakur (Class X), Amitesh Garg (Class XIII) and Vikramjeet Babbar (Class XII), bagged Second position in Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Competition (Zone I) held at DPS Palwal (Haryana). The team will now be participating at the National level (New Delhi).

Hindustan Times in association with Connect broadband organised the finale of intracity round of NetChamps at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula on 19 May 2016. Our team comprising Soumil Arora (Class VIII) and Hridae (Class IX) bagged the First Position. A written round was held out of which top 4 teams were selected for on-stage final round. The students received Micromax Tabs alongwith trophies and certificates.

Palak Garg and Tejleen Kaur of Class IX-B bagged the Third Prize in Pamphlet making Competition held on May 17 at St. John’s School.

Supriya Gupta (Class VIII) secured Second position in the ‘Self composed Story Writing Competition’ in ‘TRIVENI 2016’ – An Indian Literary Festival, organised by Delhi Public School, Bulandshahar on 30th April 2016.

Kavya Aggarwal (Class VIII-A) bagged a Consolation prize in Poster Making Competition on Earth Day organised by YI Chandigarh.

Palak Garg (Class VII) secured Second position in Scrapbook competition titled ‘HT Explorare’ organised by Hindustan Times in association with HDFC Bank at the Law Auditorium of Panjab University in Chandigarh on February 22, 2016.

Vasundhara Rana (Class VI B) secured Third position in Scrapbook competition titled ‘HT Explorare’ organised by Hindustan Times in association with HDFC Bank at the Law Auditorium of Panjab University in Chandigarh on February 22, 2016.
