Cultural Achievements

Our School team comprising of Simran (Class XII), Nikhil Sharma (Class XI), Aaditya Prasad (Class VIII), Sahil Sood (Class VIII), Yashpreet Kaur (Class VIII), Tanya Thakur (Class X), Amitesh Garg (Class XIII) and Vikramjeet Babbar (Class XII), bagged Second position in Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Competition (Zone I) held at DPS Palwal (Haryana). The team will now be participating at the National level (New Delhi).

Hindustan Times in association with Connect broadband organised the finale of intracity round of NetChamps at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula on 19 May 2016. Our team comprising Soumil Arora (Class VIII) and Hridae (Class IX) bagged the First Position. A written round was held out of which top 4 teams were selected for on-stage final round. The students received Micromax Tabs alongwith trophies and certificates.

Palak Garg and Tejleen Kaur of Class IX-B bagged the Third Prize in Pamphlet making Competition held on May 17 at St. John’s School.

Supriya Gupta (Class VIII) secured Second position in the ‘Self composed Story Writing Competition’ in ‘TRIVENI 2016’ – An Indian Literary Festival, organised by Delhi Public School, Bulandshahar on 30th April 2016.

Kavya Aggarwal (Class VIII-A) bagged a Consolation prize in Poster Making Competition on Earth Day organised by YI Chandigarh.

Palak Garg (Class VII) secured Second position in Scrapbook competition titled ‘HT Explorare’ organised by Hindustan Times in association with HDFC Bank at the Law Auditorium of Panjab University in Chandigarh on February 22, 2016.

Vasundhara Rana (Class VI B) secured Third position in Scrapbook competition titled ‘HT Explorare’ organised by Hindustan Times in association with HDFC Bank at the Law Auditorium of Panjab University in Chandigarh on February 22, 2016.

Pallavi Khatri (Class XI-E) participated in the CGC International Model United Nations Conference held on 30th and 31st January 2016. She represented General Raheel Sharif, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, in Indo-Pak Joint Conference and won the High Commendation Award.

Aasees (Class VII-A), Maitri (Class VIII-A), Disha Mukherjee (Class VIII-C) and Palak (Class VIII-F) represented our School at the State level Painting Competition on 22nd January 2016. Disha Mukherjee got the Consolation prize of Rs. 1000.

Saumya Thakur (Class IV- G) secured First position in Naach-2016 (Category 7-12 Years) held on 23rd January 2016 at Govt. Home Science College, Chandigarh.

Mehreen Brar (Class IV-G) won a Gold medal and a trophy in the Solo Dance Competition- DHOOM 2015 held at Shivalik Auditorium, Phase VI, Mohali on 27th December 2015.

Asees Babbar (Class VII-A), Maitri (Class VIII-A), Saumya Goyal (Class VIII-B) and Disha Mukherjee (Class VIII-C) were amongst the top 50 students selected in Inter School painting competition to take part in the State Level Competition organised by Central Ground Water Board, North Western Region on 22nd January, 2016.

Among the ten entries sent for National Level Painting Competition– ‘Japan On Canvas’, Palak Garg (Class VIII-F) received the prize for the ‘Best Painter’ at the National level. She got an appreciation certificate and a medal for the same.

Ishan Puri (Class X-B) of UN-SC participated in Dr. Kalam Model United Nations as Delegate of Germany from 3rd-5th January 2016 and was awarded High Commendation.

Jasman Singh Bedi (Class X-B) of UN-SC participated in Dr. Kalam Model United Nations as Delegate of Germany from 3rd-5th January 2016 and was awarded High Commendation.
