Cultural Achievements

Nitima Garg (VI-D) received a Certificate of Achievement for ‘One of the best two entries’ from our School in Painting – Junior Competition on the subject ‘Oil & Gas Conservation’ conducted by PCRA (Petroleum Conservation Research Association)

Shubhankar Mehta (X-H) won  First Prize in Poster Designing in Photoshop at YPS Mohali on December 3, 2016.

Sukhman Dhillon (XII-D) won  First Prize in a PowerPoint Competition (Theme: Need for Self-governance for betterment of the society) at YPS Mohali on December 3, 2016.

Our School was awarded the ‘Judges Critical Acclaim Award’ at the Nationals of Annual Inter DPS Dance Festival-2016.

Kanwar Jeet Singh Gill (Class XI) won the Special Mention Certificate and a medal at the MUN organised by Vivek High School from 18-21 November 2016.

Gurkirat (Class X-A) got the Second position in ‘On the spot Painting Competition‘, an event held on November 19, 2016, as a part of Children’s week celebrations organised by CCPCR, at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 18, Chandigarh.

Aishwarya Goyal (IX-H) received the certificate of ‘Best School Entry’ in PCRA National Competition 2016- A painting Competition on the subject ‘Oil & Gas Conservation’ conducted by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural  gas, Government of India.

Charvi Abrol (IX A) got Third Position in a Quiz Competition, an event held on 15th November 2016 as part of Children’s Week Celebrations conducted by Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights at Art Museum, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

Manan Gupta (Class XI) represented China in SDVMUN 2016 -Model United Nations Conference held at the S.D. Vidya School, Ambala cantt from 11th to 13th November 2016 and won a special mention award.

Aisha (XI-A) won a gift voucher of Rs 750 of Shoppers Stop for her contribution to NIE (Times Of India) Newspaper.

Nishtha Goel (VI-G) represented the school at State level Painting Competition on Power Saving organized by BEE on November 9 2016 at Indradhanush auditorium. She bagged the Consolation Prize and also received a cash prize of Rs 5000.

Our School team comprising of Harmehar Dheer (Class VIII), Adit Gupta (Class VIII), Sahil Sood (Class VIII), Deepanshu Mahajan (Class IX), Yashpreet Kaur  (Class VIII), Harshit Paliwal (Class X), Tanya Thakur (Class X), Aamrapali (Class X) won Second prize in ‘Hindi patriotic song competition’ -an Inter School event held at Sri Guru Harkishan Model School, Chandigarh on October 22, 2016.

Aadi Jain (Class VIII) stood Second in the Inter School Hindi Poem Recitation Competition in the 3rd Annual APS Fest 2016 on 21st and 22nd October 2016.

Aanya Singh (Class V) stood Third in the Inter school English Poem Recitation Competition in the 3rd Annual APS Fest 2016 on  21st and 22nd October 2016.

Our School team bagged the Third position in St. John’s High School Business Quiz conducted on 13th October 2016.
