Daria – The Rock Band of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh has bagged the First position in Aurantiaco Music Festival 2018, Season 1 -India held on 6^th October 2018 at St.Kabir Public School.

This competition is being organised at University and School level for Bands of educational institutions.

The DPS team comprised of Gaurav Arora (Lead Guitarist), Deepanshu Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Male), Aamrapali Mahajan (Lead Vocalist – Female), Rishi Vashisht (Keyboardist), R. Aadhi Ilanchezhiyan (Bassist), Ayaan Saundh (Drummer) and Sahil Sood (Percussionist). The band has been further invited to Mumbai.

Students of Class IV of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh put up a Class Show  – Utsav – celebrating happiness, on 9^th Oct, 2018.

The children left the audience asking for more. The stage came alive with the young dancers performing to everyone’s delight.  Everyone in the audience was thrilled to watch the little ones showcase the diversity of India  through their performances. 

The children won  a thunderous applause from the audience for their lively performance. The Principal, Ms. Reema Dewan, congratulated the students for putting up such a grand show and thanked the parent community for their unstinted support. The chief guest urged the parents to spend more time with their children and have a friendly relationship with them.

To eat is a necessity but to eat intelligently is an art. Students of Class VI enthusiastically participated in healthy tiffin activity organized in healthy tiffin activity organized in school on 3^rd October 2018. The vibrant and healthy eateries exhibited by students were an epitome of their health and good dietary habits.

Excursions are a wonderful way to relax, have fun and unwind from the daily routine. The students of Class Nursery and Prep visited the Fragrance Garden and Terrace Garden respectively wherein they had a great time enjoying various activities and games. The calm and serene atmosphere of the garden filled them with a renewed energy. Beautiful moments were captured as the children shared their tiffins with their friends. The children enjoyed the outing and yearned for more.

Delhi Public School hosted the Inter-DPS National Swimming Meet Girls (U14) 2018 on Sep 28 and Sep 29,2018. DPS schools from all over the country participated in the event. Mrs Daljeet Kaur, Senior Dermatologist, Fortis Hospital, Mohali and national swimmer Chahat Arora graced the inaugural function as the Honoured Guests. Dr. D.R. Saini, Director, Delhi Public School Society was the guest of honour at the Valedictory and the Prize Distribution Ceremony.
