Delhi Public School organised a picnic to Barota farms for the students of class VI on 12th March 2024. Free from the burden of exams, the students packed their bags for a day full of fun and frolic. The cheerful, excited and curious young minds were accompanied by their teachers and other school staff. On reaching the farms, the students were involved in various adventure activities. The students went on a trek, exploring the alluring bounties of nature observing different types of plants around them. They also experienced a ride on a tractor on the farm, a rarity in the city life. Other activities included a magic show, bull riding, obstacle courses, rock climbing etc. The highlight of the picnic was zip lining which was a thrilling experience and helped the students to overcome their fears. The students were served a sumptuous breakfast and lunch with a variety to choose from. The picnic came as a soothing breeze for the kids to enjoy their fullest. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the children to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school rejuvenated.

Sherell Chhabra, Class VII A, won 3rd prize in women doubles in 36th Chandigarh Table Tennis State Championship.
DPS students brought laurels to the school in Skating!
Following studnets of DPS, Chandigarh brought laurels to the school by winning medals in the State Skating Championship held at skating rink, sector- 10 from 14th November to 19th November:

- Arjun Kansil,III C- 2 Gold medals ,1 silver medal
- Sifat Kaur, III D- 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals
- Mansehaj,V G- 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal
- Nibha Ashraf, VIII H- 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals
- Arshiya, X E-2 gold, 2 silver medals
Yatharth Rana, Arjun Kansil, Mansehaj, Nibha Ashraf and Arshiya have also qualified for the National Skating Championship going to be held in Cheenai from 14th December 2023.

Nitin Singh, Class X wins gold in Roller Hockey!
Nitin Singh, X B won Gold medal in Roller Hockey Championship held from 11th to 25th December,2023. He scored 19 goals and was the highest scorer of the event. The championship was organised by R.S.F.I, Chandigarh

Once again our students exhibited astounding performance at The Inter School Athletics meet competition performance 2024. We ended up with total 7 medals comprising of 3 gold,

Class V Excursion to Mapple Jungle
The excursion to the Mapple Jungle Camp of Class V on March13, 2024, was a remarkable journey, offering students a day filled with exciting adventures. Engaging in various outdoor and team building activities students developed a sense of teamwork and self-confidence. As we concluded our excursion and returned to the school premises, it became clear that such outings not only give students memories of a lifetime but also contribute in their holistic development.
Class IV Picnic to Barota Farms
In an exhilarating adventure, the students of Class 4 from Delhi Public School, Chandigarh embarked on a delightful picnic to Barota Farms. The morning unfolded with a delectable breakfast ensuring the students were energized for the activities ahead. Throughout the day, the students immersed themselves in a plethora of exciting adventures, including conquering the tyre wall, navigating the commando net, trekking through scenic trails, enjoying the swings, conquering the spider net, fostering teamwork, camaraderie and a spirit of adventure amongst them. The magic show enthralled the audience. As the day progressed, the students relished a sumptuous lunch accompanied by joyful melodies, adding to the festive ambiance. With hearts brimming with joy and minds filled with unforgettable memories, the students arrived back in the evening ,marking the end of a remarkable excursion filled with laughter, learning and bonding.
The picnic to Barota farms served as a platform for experiential learning, fostering personal growth, teamwork and appreciation for nature’s beauty.

Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh hosted the much awaited Annual Sports day on 11th March 2024 on the sprawling grounds of the school. The morning was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The Annual Sports day was held for grade VIII.
The energetic and nimble-footed participants performed and won the various events with flying colours. It was a wonderful display of agility, coordination, strength and stamina in various events such as the 50 meters track events, Relay, Football, Volleyball and Basketball for girls and boys.
The event continuously laid the emphasis of sports in a child’s life and physical and mental development. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
Pre-Primary wing organised Class Show ‘Symphony of Life – Rhyme ‘O” Rhythm’
The students of the Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh showcased their class performance titled ‘Symphony of Life – Rhyme ‘O” Rhythm’ on March 5th and 6th, 2024. The central theme of the show revolved around ‘Moving towards sustainability’. Through a variety of dances, the children illustrated the importance of caring for our planet and living in harmony with all its inhabitants. Their vibrant costumes, props, and graceful performances captivated the audience. Speakers emphasized the significance of environmental stewardship and collective action towards achieving sustainable goals. Ms. Reema Dewan, the school Principal, addressed the esteemed audience, encouraging them to carry forward the message conveyed by our young learners. The overwhelming applause and joyful expressions of the attendees attested to the success of this splendid event.
