Arshiya, Class X-E brought laurels to the school by winning silver medal in National CBSE Skating Championship in 1000m (inline). There were participants from 8 different zones from all over the country as well as participants from middle east area representing foreign CBSE schools. The event was held at Gurugram Global Height School, Gurugram from 25th Nov to 27th Nov, 2023.
Samaira Dhaliwal, VIII-B qualifies for shooting nationals!
Samaira Dhaliwal , class VIII-B qualified in shooting nationals Under-10 M air pistol category organized by the National Rifle Association of India at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She will now be going for the Indian Shooting team selections.

Devansh Anand, class VIII E won 3rd prize in Under-15 boys school team and represented DPS in 36th Chandigarh Table-Tennis State Championship.

Geetank Khanna, Class VII A, participated in Roller Skating State Championship from 14th-17th November 2023. He won 1 silver and 1 bronze in inline skating at sector-10 rink and also qualified for National 2023 at Chennai (19th Dec to 25th Dec).

Tanush Sharma, Class X-D bagged 1st prize in inline hockey under-17 competition organised by Chandigarh Roller Skating Association at sector-10 rink. This competition was held from 14th -17th Now, 2023.
Class Prep II, I & II Picnic
School excursions are aimed to provide the children with hands-on learning experience outside the classroom environment, fostering their curiosity and enhancing their social skills. Children of Classes Prep II, I & II of Delhi Public School , Chandigarh visited Chouki Dhani on March 18,2024. Children had a great time enjoying various activities and games, exploring new locations and relishing delicious meals. The children returned with smiles on their faces and unforgettable memories.
Pre- Primary Wing organised ‘Student Led Conference’
Student led conference boosts students’ confidence and uplifts their communication skills. Keeping this in mind, Student Led Conference was organised on March 14 and 15, 2024 for the Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh.
Our young learners participated with great enthusiasm and exhibited their understanding of various concepts in front of their family members.
To make this day enjoyable, a Mini Carnival was also organised which had tattoo painting, food stalls, selfie points and much more. It was a day full of fun and frolic. The zest and zeal exhibited by the young dipsites and their parents made the day a memorable one.
Class VII Picnic

The students of Grade VII of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh were taken for a class picnic to Mapple Jungle camp, Sri Anandpur Sahib on 14th March 2024. With their bags packed with games, snacks and a lot more, the children were very happy and excited to go for the picnic. As soon as they arrived at the camp, the students eagerly explored the enticing beauty and abundance of nature. The nature trail that went to the camp allowed them to see a variety of plant species that were in their immediate surroundings. The day was well spent enjoying, dancing and interacting with each other. They enjoyed different activities like zip lining, wall climbing, commando net and various bridge crossings etc. These activities not only fostered team spirit but also brought out the competitive yet jovial nature of the students. A delicious breakfast and toothsome lunch were provided to cater to different tastes. The excursion provided an opportunity for students to connect with nature, appreciate the outdoors and unwind from the usual classroom setting. The students reached safe and sound carrying with them the baggage of lifetime beautiful memories.
Class VII SPORTS DAY

Sports Day is a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork and unbridled enthusiasm. The air is charged with the spirit of competition as students showcase their prowess in the kaleidoscope of sport events.
On March 12, 2024, Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh, held the much-anticipated Annual Sports Day on its expansive premises. There was a lot of enthusiasm, energy, and a playful vibe to the morning. The VII grade students had their annual sports day.
The spectacular Sports Day event began with the students participating in a great amalgamation of track and field events and some interesting yet fun races. They tested their strength in various events such as basketball, football, handball and relay races. The TUG-OF-WAR was the most thrilling event of this eventful day.
The event continuously laid the emphasis of sports in a child’s life and physical and mental development. It was a day full of sportsmanship, energy, and priceless memories.
Class VIII Picnic
On a bright and cheerful morning, the students of class 8 embarked on an adventurous day out to Maple Farms. The air buzzed with excitement as they boarded the buses at school, ready for a day filled with fun and exploration. The journey to the farm was lively, with students sharing snacks and anticipating the activities ahead.
Upon arrival at Maple Farms, the group was greeted with a grand breakfast, setting a delightful tone for the day. The farm’s serene and welcoming atmosphere immediately captivated everyone, ensuring that the day started on a high note.
The highlight of the visit was the array of fun-filled activities that were in store for the students. They engaged in thrilling rope climbing, challenging themselves and cheering on their friends. The wall climbing activity tested their strength and determination, while the exhilarating zip line rides offered breathtaking views of the farm, creating a sense of freedom and adventure.
Throughout the day, the students participated in numerous other activities, each designed to foster teamwork, courage, and a spirit of adventure. The laughter, cheers, and encouragement echoed across the farm, creating a vibrant and positive environment.
As the day came to an end, the students boarded the buses back to school, tired yet exhilarated from the day’s adventures. The journey back was a time for reflection, with students sharing their experiences and recounting their favorite moments. The day out at Maple Farms was not just an escape from the regular school routine but an opportunity to create lasting memories and experiences that would be cherished for a long time.
The trip was a resounding success, leaving the students with not only adventurous experiences but also lessons in camaraderie, perseverance, and the joy of trying new things. Maple Farms provided the perfect backdrop for a day that will be remembered fondly by the students of class 8.
Classes Nursey & Prep I Picnic
Classes Nursery and Prep l of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh were taken on an exciting picnic to the Fragrance Garden and the Terrace Garden respectively for a delightful experience. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and their spirits were high as the children set out for a day of fun and camaraderie.
The day began with a leisurely stroll through the park, exploring its lush greenery. Their keen eyes spotted colorful butterflies and curious squirrels. Soon, the park was filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as the kids engaged in various games. They sat in a circle and shared their favourite eatables with their fellow mates.The kids had a gala time.
Class VI Sport’s Day
Games and sports have become an integral element of present day education. They teach young students the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership. They also enhance the physical and mental development of children.
Which day can be more enthralling in an academic calendar than the one dedicated to sports and games? Promoting athleticism and teamwork, Delhi Public school celebrated its Annual Sports Day for the students of class VI on 13th March 2024 amidst a lot of fun and frolic. The school’s expansive playground served as the venue for the day’s events, including relay races, hurdle races, dodge ball, throw ball etc. where both boys and girls participated with full enthusiasm. An Inter-section event that it was, it gave a chance to the students to display their team spirits. Excitement was writ on the faces of young students as they cheered for their team mates. The most exciting part of this happening day was the TUG-O-WAR where students and teachers took part amidst loud cheering and applause. The day concluded with the announcement of the winning teams for various events.
Abhijashan Taya makes school proud!
Abhijashan Taya, Class VII C has made us proud by winning bronze medal in State Roller Skating Hockey tournament and she also represented Chandigarh state in National sub junior Karate Championship in Delhi from 16th November to 19th November 2023.
Class III Picnic
‘Play is our brain’s favourite way of Learning.’
The students of class 3 were taken for a class picnic to Barota Farms, on 11th March, 2024. The children were elated and exhilarated throughout the journey to the farms. On reaching the farms, the children enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves doing plethora of activities planned for them like the Zip Line Archery, Trampoline, Tractor Ride to name a few. The ‘Magic Show’ was the most thrilling experience as the magician left the kids spellbound. The children were served delectable meals and refreshments throughout their stay. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the kids to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school rejuvenated.
Tanisi Khanduja and Vimanshi Hatwal make DPS proud!
Tanisi Khanduja, Class VII B bagged a bronze medal in the apparatus clubs and a silver medal in the apparatus ball in the U-14 girls Rhythmic Gymnastics category in the 3rd Tricity sub junior Artistic Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition organised by Dynamic Gymnastic Academy from 4th to 5th November 2023.
In the same competition, Vimanshi Hatwal, Class VII A bagged 3 bronze medals in hoop, clubs and ball.
