Ganit Week
Delhi Public School, Chandigarh observed Ganit Week from 18th to 22nd December, 2017.
The students of Classes III to X participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event focused on making students aware about the applications of mathematical concepts in daily life through both static and working models.
Maths Exhibition was a major crowd puller. It was appreciated by all. The Principal, Mrs. Reema Dewan encouraged and lauded the students for their excellent efforts. It was a great learning experience for everyone.
Twenty students from our School participated in on the spot painting competition, “Colour Splash”,organised by times NIE. Samridhi Arora (Class VI-A) bagged the Second prize.

Class Prep- Sports Day
A ‘Sports Meet’ was organized for the children of Class Prep on 22nd November, 2017. It was a very exciting day where the tiny tots zealously participated in various sports events such as relay race, stack up race, obstacle race. They put up a spectacular show. Once the races began, the air resonated with loud cheers encouraging the young athletes. This was an attempt to enhance team spirit and sportsmanship in the young pupils.

Class I Excursion -‘Fragrance Garden’
At DPS, we believe that trips and excursions be a perfect way to expand one’s horizon. This is why we organize regular excursions for students to promote learning through outdoor interactions and experiences.
The students of Class I visited the ‘Fragrance Garden’ on November 27, 2017. They were excited for the trip since this experience was altogether new for them. A calm and serene atmosphere of the garden filled them with a renewed energy. They played different games like passing the parcel, dumb-charade etc. It was a day full of fun and frolic, refreshing snacks and lunch to munch on.
Class Nursery- Sports Day
Sports develop a sense of friendliness and team spirit among children. They help to develop mental and physical toughness. Nursery Class organized the ‘Annual Sports Day’ on 21st November, 2017 to enhance the spirit of sportsmanship and competition among students.
The event comprised of a number of races like Hurdle race, Hoopla race, Relay race and many more. The Students enthusiastically cheered for their teams. The proud winners were awarded with medals. A tug of war was also held where all the sections participated enthusiastically. To add to the excitement and fervor of the day a race for teachers was also held. The day was enjoyed by one and all.
