Agrim Joshi (Class VI), Siddhant Agarwal (Class VII), Raghav Goyal  (Class VIII), Rounak Somani (Class I) and Aditya Prasad (Class X) received the INSPIRE Award of Rs 10,000/- each to prepare models.

Aditya Prasad and Siddhant Agarwal participated in the National Level Science Exhibition held at Delhi from February 14 and 15, 2019, with INSPIRE – MANAK awardees of different states.

Class Nursery- Annual Show ‘Toon World’

Cartoons are an essential part of every childhood and without a doubt the most entertaining aspect in every child’s life. They help kids learn about the world around them.

Students of class Nursery of Delhi Public School Chandigarh put up the annual show “Toon World “ ,a story about Dora who heads on an expedition to meet different cartoon characters and makes bond with them.

The energetic performance of the tiny tots portrayed the exuberance of the children. The show witnessed hundred per cent participation thus giving each child an opportunity to showcase their talent and skills.

It was enthralling to watch 150 angels of Nursery singing and dancing in their vibrant costumes creating magic on the stage.

The children captured the heart of all present with their mesmerising performances. The school Principal, Ms Reema Dewan applauded the students on their fantastic performance and emphasized that such activities are important for the overall development of children. She also thanked the parent community for their support.

Class Prep Class Show ‘Dreams… Always and Forever’

The purpose of education is to transform not only the intellectual but also the creative dimensions of children. Keeping this thought in mind, the students of class Prep of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh participated in the Annual show ‘Dreams… Always and Forever’ held in the school premises on February 26, 2019.

The little ones put up a mesmerising show depicting beautifully woven tales on how our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them. The rich play of colour, music and light accompanied by budding talent had the audience breaking into loud applause every now and then. The parents were enthralled by the performances of the students who showcased their inherent abilities and talents.

The function culminated with an address by the school principal, Ms. Reema Dewan, who addressed the gathering with her views on futuristic vision and holistic development of the children. She applauded the little ones for putting up a spectacular show thereby thanking the parent fraternity for their constant support all throughout the year.

Mohul Dhingra of class 7G hit a hole in one shot on the challenging 11th hole in The Milkha Junior Championship.

Mohul Dhingra of class 7G hit a hole in one shot on the challenging 11th hole in The Milkha Junior Championship held at Chandigarh Golf club on January 7,2019. He received memento from Milkha Singh and Jeev Milkha Singh. He also got a memento from Govt of Punjab in recognition of being one of the youngest player to achieve this.

Parneet Saini of class VIIIB bagged First position in U-14 Girls category in 5th Sardar Dalip Singh Memorial Table Tennis Tournament .

Parneet Saini of class VIIIB bagged First position in U-14 Girls category in 5th Sardar Dalip Singh Memorial Table Tennis Tournament organized by St. Soldier International Convent School Mohali from December 21,2018 to December 22,2019. She also bagged Third position in U-17 category in the same event.

Our model prepared by Haroon and Ayush (Class VIII), under the sub-theme, Transport and Communication, won at the CBSE National Science Exhibition.

Our model prepared by Haroon and Ayush (Class VIII), under the sub-theme, Transport and Communication, won at the CBSE National Science Exhibition. There were 85 models under this theme and 4 were selected, ours is one of them. The students have received a cash prize of Rs 5000/-.

Class I Show-‘Aliens Around The World’

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure”.

DPS Chandigarh bubbled with zest and zeal as the students of class 1 presented the class show, “Aliens Around The World” depicting the beauty of the world through the eyes of the aliens. The show saw hundred percent  participation, thus giving each child an opportunity to discover their creative talents and skills.

The principal, Ms.Reema Dewan was enthused by the performance and while addressing the audience she reiterated that it was the school’s endeavour to ensure holistic development of children and such shows help in making them confident  and wholesome personalities.

Dressed in vibrant costumes the children cast a magical spell over the audience present in the auditorium. As someone has rightly said “There is no end to the adventures we can have only if we seek them with our eyes open”, the children at DPS opened the eyes of everyone  who travelled along with them to see the seven amazing continents  of the world!
