Tanmay participated in Jash-e-Azaadi Cycle Ride!

Tanmay of class 8th participated in Jash-e-Azaadi Cycle Ride to mark the 77th Independence day in a very unique manner with Border Security Force (BSF)  deployed at border lines of the Chandigarh to Wagah-Attari International Border near Amritsar. It started at 4:00 AM on  14th Aug 2023 and finished at 2:30 PM on 15th August 2023. A total of 9 cyclists participated from Chandigarh.

Our school girls gymnastics team bagged gold medal!

Our school Under-14 girls team bagged the best team in Rhythmic Gymnastics by winning a gold medal in U.T. Inter-school Gymnastic Tournament. Team members are-

  1. Samisha Taneja of class 8A bagged 4 gold and 1 silver and won the overall best gymnast title.
  2. Tanisis Khanduja of class 7th won a gold medal.
  3. Vimanshi won a gold medal.
  4. Maysha won a gold medal.

This event was held at sector-7 Sports Complex on 21st August 2023.

Class Nursery celebrated ‘Purple Day’

To enhance the little ones’ awareness about colours, ‘Purple Day’ was organized for the students of Class Nursery of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. The children took part in the ‘Show and Tell Activity’ with great enthusiasm. They brought many purple objects, spoke a few lines and recited rhymes related to purple colour. Dressed in purple the little ones added vigour to the event as they enjoyed participating in the activity of mixing red and blue colour to make purple colour. It turned out to be a remarkable day which served the purpose of learning with fun.

Pre- Primary Wing celebrated ‘Janamashtami’

The children of the Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated the birthday of Lord Krishna on September 6,2023 with great enthusiasm and fervour. Students came dressed in traditional attires of Lord Krishna, Radha ,Balram and other mythological characters. They proudly flaunted their flutes, matkas and peacock feathers. They sang bhajans and shared beautiful stories about their characters. They were also engaged in craft activities like making flutes, headgears with peacock feathers, decorating matkis etc. The excitement of the children created a divine atmosphere on the auspicious occasion and added colour to the Janmashtami Celebration.

The students of Class II of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh were explained about the process of growth in living organisms during their General Awareness class. To reinforce the concept, they were assigned a project on the life cycle of a butterfly. The students depicted the life cycle of a butterfly with the help of clay, cotton and other material. They enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the hands-on learning experience.
