Gurustat (VI D) has bagged the Runner’s Up award in the Under-12 Boys category in the British Total Tennis Championship held at British School, Mohali from 18th to 20th June. He also bagged the Runner’s Up trophy in Boys Under-14 doubles category in the Optimum Tennis Series held at Shemrock Ace Tennis Academy, Mohali on 28th June.

Jaskeerat Singh (VIII C) has won first prize in Under-14 boys out of 786 participants in 12th Delhi International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament, New Delhi (13th-16th January,2014), winning a cash prize of Rs. 7000 and increasing his ELO rating to 1509 from 1456.

Robotics Workshop
Delhi Public School Chandigarh held a workshop on ‘Robotics’ in the school premises on 27th and 28th May 2014.
RLabz Edutech, an initiative of MIT Boston certified researchers and prominent engineers, conducted this workshop cum National Level Robotic Championship (RoBoGo’14).
86 students attended this hands-on workshop where they were introduced to the concept of Robotics and electronic design. They worked in teams on kits and made their very own path following robots. At the end of the workshop, a grand competition was held where the winning team was awarded a Certificate of Merit, cash prize of Rs. 2000/- and a chance to participate in the Grand Finale to be held at Dehradun in the month of November.
Google Workshop
Delhi Public School Chandigarh held a workshop on ‘Google tools in Education and Web Literacy’ in the school premises on 23rd May 2014.
30 teachers attended this hands-on workshop where they were exposed to latest methods of using open technology to enhance learning. They discovered new ways to meet the needs of students by leveraging innovative technology solutions.
The teachers were made members of the GEG(Google Educators Group) which is a community of educators who share, inspire and empower each other to meet the needs of students through technology solutions, both in the classroom and beyond.
