10 STUDENTS OF DPS CHANDIGARH FIGURE IN TOP 50 STUDENTS OUT OF 6189 PARTICPANTS IN DECRYPTONITE v3.0.

10 students of DPS Chandigarh achieved various positions in the first 50 out of 6189 participants all over the world in the online event Decryptonite v3.0 part of the Annual Information Technology Festival ‘IT@CuttingEdge’ hosted by DPS RK Puram on November 21, 2014. ‘DeCryptonite v3.0’ is a cryptic online treasure hunt in which students have to make their way through a series of online levels of increasing difficulty.

Ishita of class-IX received several medals in the State Badminton Championship.

Ishita of class-IX received Gold Medal in U-15  Singles, U-15 Doubles, U-17  Singles, U-17  Doubles, U-19  Doubles category ,Silver medal in U-19 Singles category  and Bronze Medal in Women Singles and Doubles categories in the State Badminton Championship held at P.U. Chandigarh from 13th  to 16th November,2014.

She was also bagged ‘The Best Player’ Award.

One Nation Reading Together

Delhi Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh celebrated “One Nation Reading Together” to highlight the value and importance of reading today. All the students & teachers read together in their respective classrooms where as others read together in library for 30 minutes.

Students of Reader’s and Quizzer’s Club also participated in various activities such as ‘Draw your favourite character’, ‘Visualise the character at the beginning and the end of the story’, ‘Creative story writing’ and ‘Book Jacket making’.

Udaan – Field Show at DPS Chandigarh

Classes VII and VIII of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated their Annual Field Show ‘Udaan – the free spirit flight of every teenager’ on 25th November, 2014. The students participated with zeal and enthusiasm and put up a spectacular show. Dr. Sudha Sharma, IRS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The day commenced with releasing the balloons by the Principal, Mrs. Reema Dewan and the distinguished guests. The meritorious students were awarded blazers, badges and trophies for their excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. The Principal congratulated the students motivating them to strive for excellence in a balanced and unified manner that incorporated body, mind and spirit.
