ur School Tennis Boys team received the First Runners-up trophy in the Inter-DPS National Tennis Tournament.

Our School Tennis (Boys) team comprising of Uddayvir (IX), Gurustat(IX) and Arunab(10) received the First Runners-up trophy in the Inter-DPS National Tennis Tournament held at DPS Agra from November 10, 2017 to November 11, 2017. Also Uddayvir Singh got The Best Player of the tournament award.

Gurkirat Singh (IX-G), Ishaan Sharma (Class IX-H) and Jasmeen Kaur (Class IX-H) secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in Punjabi Essay Writing Competition.

Gurkirat Singh (IX-G), Ishaan Sharma (Class IX-H) and Jasmeen Kaur (Class IX-H) secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in Punjabi Essay Writing Competition organised on Children’s Day by Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights and the Education Department. Aishwarya Goyal (X-G) was the Winner in English Essay Writing Competition in the same event.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS

Acknowledging the fact that children  are our most valuable resource, students at DPS Chandigarh ,spent a memorable day at school-enjoying the day being part of special assembly conducted by the teachers where they sang, danced and recited poems for the children.

Cricket match were played between students and teachers. The school organised the International Kids Film Festival (IKFFI) screening new, inspiring and globally diverse cinema to school students. Children enjoyed and shared beautiful moments watching the movies in the auditorium.

The school principal Mrs Reema Dewan blessed the children on this special day and saluting the spirit of childhood said that we should celebrate the spirit of child within us. She also said that this beautiful bond of teachers and students should be made stronger each passing day happily as Children’s Day.

 

our School project on Mathematical Modelling has been selected for the National Level.

In the State level Maths, Science and Environment exhibition, conducted by State Institute of Education, Chandigarh from 30th October to 2nd November, our School project on Mathematical Modelling has been selected for the National Level. The model was prepared by Devika (Class VIII-B) and Bhavya (Class VIII-C).

Shaurya Sood (Class VI), Nitima (Class VII) and Nishtha Goel (Class VII) participated in the State Level Painting Competition.

Shaurya Sood (Class VI), Nitima (Class VII) and Nishtha Goel (Class VII) participated in the State Level Painting Competition on enegry saving organised by BBMB. Nitima Garg bagged the 3rd Position and a cash prize of Rs 10,000/-. Nishtha Goel bagged the consolation prize of Rs 5000/-. All the three participants got a cash prize of Rs 2000, as a prize to be in the first 50 entries of the state.

Visit to the Traffic Park

To educate the children about rules and regulations, a visit to the Traffic Park was organized. Tiny- tots of Nursery and Prep were made aware about the mandatory and cautionary safety rules through a talk and video by the personnel of the Traffic Department. Children were taken around the park to familiarize them with traffic lights and zebra crossings. The trip to the park was educative and enjoyable.

Aryan Bhatti of class IXC bagged Silver Medal in High Jump in U-19 boys category.
Mehtab Kaur of class IX bagged Silver Medal in 100m and 200m race in U-17 girls category.
Hitakshi of class VIII bagged Silver Medal in Long Jump in U-14 Girls category.

The team comprised of Aditya Giri, Jashpreet Singh, Govind Aggarwal, Nipun Kapoor, Tejveer Singh Bhugar, Tejasvir Singh Saroon, Jasnoor Singh Sra, Bhuvan Bajaj, Gurman Singh Mani, Medhansh Jindal, Harshaan Singh Chakkal, Manhar Bawa, Mannan Sharma, Daksh Narula and Harsimar Singh.
