State Level Events

Gurtej Singh Sohi of Class X and Varunveer of Class XI bagged the Second Position in the Inter DPS Quiz Competition held at DPS Manali on 16th July, 2011.

Divya Goel of Class VI-H bagged a Consolation Prize in State Level Painting Competition organized by Bhakra Beas Management Board.

Shubra Koser of Class VI-H has cleared the Zonal Level of Bal Shree Awards for Dance.

Aamrapali Mahajan of Class V-H bagged the Second Position in Chandigarh’s Got Talent Singing Competition winning a cash prize of Rs. 1500/- along with a trophy and an appreciation certificate.

Deepanshu Mahajan of Class IV-F bagged the First Prize in Chandigarh’s Got Talent Singing Competition. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2100/- along with a Trophy and an appreciation certificate.

Our school has bagged the First Position in Zonal Level Inter DPS Vocal Music Competition held at DPS Amritsar on 30th April.

DPS Chandigarh bagged the Overall First Position in North Zone Inter DPS Vocal Music Competition held at DPS Chandigarh.

Our school bagged the First Position in North Zone Inter DPS International Folk Dance Competition held at DPS Chandigarh.

Kanchi Shirin of Class XI-A has bagged the First Prize in Slogan Writing Competition organised by U.T. Education Department on 7th October, 2010 at Rock Garden.

Dipanshu of Class III & Amrapali of Class IV bagged the First Prize in ‘Chandigarh’s Got Talent’ Competition.

Our young painters have bagged four prizes in Inter DPS Children’s Art Exhibition 2009 held at Ranipur, Haridwar.

Our School Debating Team has qualified for the Zonal Finals of Debating Matters India – Debate Competition. Our team is one of the 12 teams chosen from over 70 participating schools of the north.

Aayush Raj Kapoor of Class II-A has qualified for Under 9 Chess Nationals to be played in August 2011.

Jaskeerat Singh Ahluwalia of Class V-C has been selected to represent Chandigarh State in the U-11 Chess Nationals to be held in Ahmedabad on 26th May, 2011. He stood second in the tournament with 4 out of 5 points. He also bagged the Third Position in the selection for U-15 Chess Nationals to be held in Chennai.

Jaskeerat Singh Ahluwalia of Class IV-C bagged the First Position in U-10 Boys Category of Chandigarh Open Chess Challenge securing 5.5 out of 8 points. He also stood 13th in the open category in which 87 participants had competed. Jashan Khurana of Class V stood 27th in this category.
