State Level Events

Our Chess Champions have been selected for the National Camp for School Games.

The students are :-

Rubal Deol of Class X-D won a gold medal in the Air Pistol in Jr. Women’s Event in Chandigarh State Inter School Shooting Championship held in September 2010.

Our students bagged several positions in Chandigarh State Swimming Championship held in August, 2010.

• Annwesh Das (Class VIII) – 2nd Prize – 50 mtrs Breast Stroke (U-14 Boys)
• Khushnoor Kaur (Class IV) – 3rd Prize – 50 mtrs Free Style (U-10 Girls)
• Eesha Sharma (Class VIII) – 3rd Prize – 50 mtrs Breast Stroke (U-14 Girls)
• Kanwaljeet Singh (Class VIII) – 3rd Prize – 50 mtrs Breast Stroke (U-14 Boys)
• Aatysha (Class VI) – 3rd Prize – 50 mtrs. Breast Stroke (U-12 Boys)
• Annwesh Das (Class VIII) – 3rd Prize – 100 mtrs Breast Stroke (U-14 Boys)

Jasminder Singh of Class XII-C won the Third Position in the Chandigarh State Athletic Meet held in July 2010.

Saumya Saxena of Class VII-A clinched the Girls U-14 Runners-Up Title in All India Tennis Association Talent Series in June 2010. She also bagged the Girls U-12 Runners-Up Title in AITA Talent Series Tournament in July 2010.

Mehak of Class VII-B and Ishita of Class V-B have won a Gold Medal in U-14 and U-10 categories respectively in the Tricity School Badminton Tournament held in July 2010.

Jaskeerat of Class IV has bagged the First Position in the U-13 category in the 2nd Ludhiana Open Chess Tournament held in May 2010. He has now become the youngest Boy of Chandigarh to get FIDE Rating of 1458 at the age of 8.

Our school has bagged several Medals in Hallmark Roller Skating Carnival 2010 held at Hallmark Public Schoool, Sector 15, Panchkula in August, 2010. The results are :

• Saina Arora of I-D won Gold Medal in Rink Race II and Silver Medal in Rink Race I, U-6 (Girls)
• Tarannum of Class II won Bronze Medal in Rink Race III, U-8 (Girls).
• Raisa of Class IV won Silver Medal in Rink Race II, U-10 Category (Girls).
• Shubham Mittal of Class VII won Gold Medal in Rink Race I, U-14 Category (Boys).
• Kirti of Class IX won 2 Gold Medals in Rink Race I and Rink Race II, U-14 Category (Girls).

Our students have bagged 3 medals in Anee’s Tandon Lown Tennis Tournament 2010 held in August 2010.

• Sachit Malhotra – classs VIII – U-14 – Gold Medal
• Sabrang Sandal – classs V – U-12 – Gold Medal
• Sabrang Sandal – classs V – U-14 – Silver Medal

Kirti of Class IX has bagged the Third Position in U.T. Inter School Skating Championship held in August 2010.

Shivin Sardana of Class III has bagged the First Position in Panchkula Distt. Table Tennis Championship held in August, 2000.

In the U.T. Inter School Swimming Meet, our swimmers have won 5 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals. The details are as follows :-

DPS Chandigarh has bagged the Second Position in Inter DPS North Zone Football Tournament organized at DPS Amritsar. Dipanshu Bhatia of Class X bagged the Best Player of the Tournament Award.

Ishaan, Paras and Himank of Class VII have bagged the First Position in U-14 Boys U.T. Inter School Badminton Championship held in August, 2010.

Jaskeerat of Class IV has emerged as U-9 Chess Championship of U.T.
