Sports Achievements

Samisha Taneja of Delhi Public School, Class 9D bags third position in Women’s Chess Championship 2024 conducted by Chandigarh Chess Association on 13th and 14th April 2024. She has been selected to represent Chandigarh in Women’s National Chess Tournament to be held in Tamil Nadu.

Saharshveer Singh Saini of class 7D of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh won 1st position in the event Air Pistol Shooting U-14 in the inter School state Tournament organised by the Education Department, Chandigarh Administration from 16-10-2023 to 25-10-2023

Arjun bagged bronze medal in 1000 metres race and Road Race at Roller skating championship 2024 organised by Roller Skating Federation of India from 25th -28th April at Amritsar.

Saksham, Class XI C won a bronze medal in Under-17 boys category in Fencing(foil) state level Competition held at GMSSS-10.

Saksham, Class XI C won a bronze medal in Under-17 boys category in Fencing(foil) in Inter-School Competition held at GMSSS-10 on 6th Sept, 2023.

Sherell Chhabra, Class VII A participated in 67th School National games held at Indore (MP) at Emerald Heights School from 10th Jan to 13th Jan’2024 in Under-14 girls Table Tennis Tournament. She also participated in 85th sub-junior and cadet National in Table Tennis at Indore from 16th to 24th Jan 2024.

Cherrish Chhabra, Class XI D participated in 67th School National games held at Indore (MP) at Emerald Heights School from 15th Jan to 18th Jan’2024 in Under-19 girls Table Tennis Tournament.

In UT Inter school Tennis Tournament organized by Education Department in September at GNPS sector-36 Chandigarh.

The Under-14 girls bagged Bronze medal.

Vaanya, Class X-C participated in 67th National school games 2023-24 in discipline of squash Under-17 girls held at Pune, Maharashtra from 9th Jan to 14th Jan 2023.

Nibha Ashraf, Class VIII-H, bagged bronze medal in 5000mt race in RSFI National held in Chennai in December,2023.

Ananya, Class VII-H bagged bronze medal in Khelo India Women League North Zone, held in Dehradun from 27th Dec to 30th Dec 2023.

Arshiya, Class X-E brought laurels to the school by winning silver medal in National CBSE Skating Championship in 1000m (inline). There were participants from 8 different zones from all over the country as well as participants from middle east area representing foreign CBSE schools. The event was held at Gurugram Global Height School, Gurugram from 25th Nov to 27th Nov, 2023.

Samaira Dhaliwal , class VIII-B qualified in shooting nationals Under-10 M air pistol category organized by the National Rifle Association of India at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She will now be going for the Indian Shooting team selections.

Devansh Anand, class VIII E won 3rd prize in Under-15 boys school team and represented DPS in 36th Chandigarh Table-Tennis State Championship.

Geetank Khanna, Class VII A, participated in Roller Skating State Championship from 14th-17th November 2023. He won 1 silver and 1 bronze in inline skating at sector-10 rink and also qualified for National 2023 at Chennai (19th Dec to 25th Dec).
