Sports Achievements

Our Students outstanding performance at Chandigarh sub junior and junior athletic championship 2024 on the 2nd day we got 3 medals.
The following medals are:
1)Samisha Taneja (9/D) won gold medal in long jump under 16 Girls Category.

2)Shayan (10th)got Bronze medal in 60 mt race.under 16 Boys Category.

3)Nitin (11) won Bronze medal in 400 mt race.under -18 boys Category.

Samisha Taneja of Class 9, DPS Chandigarh wins the Best Athlete title in Under-16 girls category, in addition to Gold Medal in Long Jump and Gold Medal in High jump events at the Chandigarh State Sub-Junior and Junior Athletics meet conducted at Sports Complex, Sector 7 Chandigarh from 23rd to 26th August, 2024. She was awarded with a bicycle. This is the second year in a row that she has won this title.

Angad Singh of Class VIII-H won a Bronze medal in Interschool Under 14 Boys Boxing Championship (Weight category 48-50 Kg) held on 23rd August, 2024

Harshita Srikrishna of class IX-D won the silver medal for Kyorugi in the Cadet U-45kg category at the Chandigarh State Taekwondo Championship 2024 – 25 held on 14th July 2024 at Mahajan Bhavan, sector 37, Chandigarh.

Sherell Chhabra of class VIII-D won Gold medal in U-14 girls singles and Bronze medal in U-17 girls singles in 8th Sardar Dilip Singh Memorial Table Tennis tournament held at St Soldiers School Mohali on July 27, 2024.

Haranjan of class 4D won second prize in Lawn Tennis Championship (Under 10 category) held at Modern Way School in sector 29 Chandigarh on July28, 2024.

Mehul Chhabra and Aayan Mitra of VII F, Bhavin of Class VIII D and Japishit VIII H won the bronze medal in the U-14 Boys Inter- School Table Tennis tournament.

Sifat Kaur of 4 G won Silver Medal in 300mts race in the 2nd Motivational Roller Skating Competition organised by the Punjab State Roller Skating, Mohali.The competition took place at the Sports Complex, Sector 78, Mohali.

Guntas Kaur Sandhu of 9 H won the IGU UP state Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship held at Noida Golf Course in B category from 5th August to 8th August 2024 .she also secured 2nd position in A and B combined category . She held Runner’s up position in Overall Championship.

Pratham Saini of IX H won Doubles Badminton District Level Championship (under 15 category) held at Sports Complex, GMADA organised by Mohali District Badminton association from June 7-9, 2024.

Savir Sood of class XD has reached the summit of the Asian rankings being ranked 1st for the month of June. This is a result of his recent triumphs at the Hamdard Squashters Northern Slam 2024, New Delhi in April which was an Asian Junior Super Series Silver Event and at the 14th HCL Indian Junior Open 2024, Indore held in May of this year which was an Asian Junior Super Series Platinum Event. He is ranked 1st with a humongous average of 270 points. We congratulate and wish him success for his future endeavours!

Savir Sood, a student of Delhi Public School, Sector 40, Chandigarh has won the International Junior Open Squash Tournament in Indore. Players from eight countries, including the USA and Malaysia, participated in the event. in the final set, Savir defeated Hridhaan Shah 12-10, 16-14, 11-6 in the boys’ U-15 final match.

Anshika got 1st prize and won a gold medal in 2nd international Karate Do Championship.

Sherell Chhabra of class VIII D won in the following categories in the First Tricity Open Table Tennis Tournament held at Sports Complex sec 34 Chandigarh, on 13 and 14th April :
