Achievements

  1. Suhani Sharma (currently in class XI), student of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh secured the First Rank in Class Tenth, in the two-day National Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) – India’s Largest Science Talent Search Examination 2022-23 organised by Department of Science and Technology, and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Govt. of India, held on 20th & 21st May 2023 at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram IISER TVM).

    As the first rank Himalayan winner, Suhani received a merit certificate, a shield, Rs 25000 cash prize alongwith a year-long Bhaskara fellowship, and an internship opportunity, Srijan, with a leading Science research Institution of the country.

    Besides, the national winners called Himalayans, VVM also announced the Zonal winners for the four zones, class wise. Bhavesh Mahajan (currently in IX), from DPS Chandigarh bagged the third zonal position for Class VIII.

    Earlier both Suhani and Bhavesh had secured the First rank in the State Camp held on 5th Feb, at Punjab University, Chandigarh and the District level competition held in Nov 2022.

  2. Neh Singla and Paras Gupta (Class X) have been selected for Young Scientist Programme ‘Yuvika 2023’ by ISRO and will be attending two week residential programme at NRSC Hyderabad from 14 May 2023 to 27 May, 2023.

  3. Aarna Goyal (Class VI) won International Rank 25 and Zonal Rank 3 in 2nd Level SOF International Mathematics Olympiad ’22
    Award Won: Rs. 1,250 and Zonal Silver Medal and Certificate of Zonal Performance.

  4. ADITYA GUPTA (Class X) has made the DPS fraternity proud by scoring International Rank I in 2nd Level SOF International Mathematics Olympiad.
    Award Won: Rs. 16,667 and International Gold Medal Certificate of Outstanding Performance.

  5. Aditeya Goyal and Divija Dewan, both students of class X (2022-23) participated in Techno School Programme Zeitgeist’23 conducted by IIT Ropar from 23-26 March.

    Both the students participated in TSP OPEN OLYMPIAD and we share with great pride that both emerged as winners in the second stage of the competition. Aditeya came Ist while Divija got the 3rd position.

  6. Anmol Singla (Class VI) was awarded Gold Medal of Excellence for achieving International Rank: 309, Regional Rank: 192 and School Rank: 2 in National Cyber Olympiad 2022-23.

  7. Avneet Kaur Sur (Class X), 2022-23 does DPS, Chandigarh proud by securing global rank 65 at International Mathematics Championship ’22  in which more than 20 countries participated. This event was organised by Camp Yellow Private Limited.

    9. 4×400m boys won silver medal 🥈 in under 17 category. The boys are Parth Sharma(X), Parwan Siddle(X), Nitin Singh(IX) and Manveer Singh(X).

    10. 4×400m boys won bronze medal 🥉 in under 19 category. The boys are Tejasveer Singh(XII), Akshit Singh(XI), Kartik Gautam(XI) and Tejveer Singh(XI).

    11. Parth Sharma(X) won gold medal 🥇 in 200m event in under 17 age category.

    12. Gautmi(VII) won gold medal🥇in discus throw event in under 14 age category.

    13. 4x100m girl won silver medal🏅 in under 14 age category. The girl are Samisha Taneja(VII) , Anaaya Nusrat(VII), Smera Yadav(VII), Emmy Negi(VII).

    14. Khushkaran(VIII) won bronze medal🥉 in 100m event under 14 age Category.

    15. Advay Gupta(IX) won bronze medal 🥉 in discus throw under 14 category.

    **Gautmi(VII) was declared as a best athlete in Inter school Athletic Championship.
