Academic Achievements

Aditya Goyal (II A) won “Nick Be the Boss” contest organised by Nickelodeon Channel. As part of the award, Aditya will head the channel for a day.

10 students of DPS Chandigarh achieved various positions in the first 50 out of 6189 participants all over the world in the online event Decryptonite v3.0 part of the Annual Information Technology Festival ‘IT@CuttingEdge’ hosted by DPS RK Puram on November 21, 2014. ‘DeCryptonite v3.0’ is a cryptic online treasure hunt in which students have to make their way through a series of online levels of increasing difficulty.

Yash Raj Kapoor (XI D) successfully completed a free online course on game theory provided by Stanford University through Coursera Inc. in December 2014.

T. Maanas, Jayant & Prachurjiya (Class XII) bagged the 1st position in Q Biz-An Inter School Business Quiz.

Our School bagged the 1st Position in the Regional Round of CBSE Cryptic Crossword held on 6th September 2014.

Sanjana (Class XI) received the Best Speaker Trophy in the Parliamentary Debate held at Hansraj Public School, Panchkula in October 2014.

Ruhani (III F) bagged a Silver medal in Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Calculations organised by SEMAS Academy in October 2014.

Jhanavi Singla (I C) bagged the 3rd position in Poem recitation at an Inter School Competition held at Bhawan Vidyalaya in October 2014.

Japneet Kaur (X G) bagged the 1st prize in “Punjabi Sabhyachar”-an Essay Writing Competition held at Golden Jubilee Function of Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School.

Devika Singh, Aaveer Singh, Sanjolie Kumari & Vaibhavi Kumari (Class V) bagged the 3rd position in a Quiz in “Literatti 2014” held on August 2,2014 at Gurukul, Panchkula.
Devika Singh bagged the best individual performer prize for Quiz in the same event.

Apala Mandal (IX E) bagged the 1st prize in All India Scholastic Writing Awards 2014. She received a Tablet as a prize.

Sanket Jain(X E) & Shimantika Das(IX A) bagged the 3rd position in a Debate Competition held at Gurukul Sector 20, Panchkula.

Aatishya’s (Class X) project which was displayed at the “INSPIRE” All India Competition at New Delhi has been selected for “Ignite Competition” and “Ninth National Biennial” Competition conducted by the Department of Science & Technology. The DST has also filed application on behalf of “Aatishya” for claiming “PATENT” of the design and concept.

Sanya Thakur of Class IV B has bagged the 3rd prize in the KYU 11th National Soroban & Aryan competition organised by SEMAS Academy.

Saachi Bagri of class 5E won a Bronze Medal in Sardar Seva Singh Memorial Skating Competition which was held on 29th and 30th September,2014
