Team DPS, Chandigarh took up the initiative to apprise the children of the Pre- primary wing about the importance of Safety through the activity ‘Safety Saves’. The children were shown a PowerPoint presentation related to staying safe from fire and sharp objects. They were told to stay away from the gas burner, lighters as well as match boxes as these could lead to a fire accident. Through the presentation they were also warned not to play with sharp objects like knives and scissors as they may accidentally harm themselves and others. The various activities and games gave them the confidence to be able to care for themselves in the absence of elders.
