Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour and zeal at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. The programme began with the unfurling of the ‘Tiranga’ along with rendition of our national anthem by all present.
The tiny tots of Primary Wing organized ‘India of My Dreams’, a class presentation with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebrations included the rendition of the song ‘Nanna munna rahi hoon’ , evoking the spirit of sacrifice for the country followed by the children speaking about their dreams of taking India to the pinnacle of great glory and success.
The school choir sang the ever-inspiring patriotic songs, ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ and ‘Samay Hamara Aaya Hai’ in which all the students and staff joined in. The celebrations concluded with refreshments for all.
