State Level Events

Our team comprising of Gurkirat Singh Nayyar, Aishwarya Goyal and Tanvi Saxena, participated in the Zonal Round of the Fortis Annual National Psychology Quiz named ‘Psych-Ed’ held at Fortis Mohali on 16th August 2019. The team has qualified for the Finale which will be held at Fortis, Gurugram in September 2019.

Amey Goyal of class 5G bagged Fourth position in U-15 category in Chandigarh State Tournament , conducted by Chandigarh Chess Association at New Public School, Chandigarh from May 11,2019 to May 12,2019. He has been selected for Nationals in U-15 Category.

Amey Goyal of class 5G bagged Second position in Chandigarh U-13 State Chess Tournament , conducted by Chandigarh Chess Association, held at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, sec 37A Chandigarh from April 27,2019 to April 28,2019.

Mili of class-VIII won Gold medal in U-17 Singles, Silver Medal in U-17 Doubles,Silver Medal in U-19 Doubles and
Bronze medal in U-19 Singles in Chandigarh State Badminton Championship held at Sport Complex sector-42, Chandigarh from July 14, 2019 to July 17,2019.

Our School team comprising of Vanya Sidana, Pranjal Sood, Sanya Ghosh, Ojasvita Sikka, Nani Nayyar, Dhun Madan, Nikita Dhingra and Ashmita Bhardwaj, won the Inter DPS Dance Festival (North Zone)-2019 (Nrityanjali) hosted by our School  on August 2, 2019 in the school auditorium. The dance competition featured eighteen dance teams from North Zone. The participating teams presented fabulous dances based on the theme ‘Mohan Se Mahatma’ – Ode to 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi and ‘Sushakti’ – Empowered Women of History / Mythology.

Our school team comprising Ananya Mukherjee VI H, Palak Sharma VI D, Agam Singh Kohli VII HAsha Rishi VII F, Aditya Goyal VII F, Bharvi Garg IX G, Abha Vashisht IX G and Simarjot Singh IX H bagged the Third position in Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Competition(Zone 1) held at Amritsar on 27th July 2019. Ananya Mukherjee of VI H bagged the second position in the solo category. The team will now be participating at the National level.

Vibhav of Class 2A bagged a Bronze medal in Roller Hockey sub junior boys category, held at Sector 10 Rink , Chandigarh from October 25,2018 to October 28,2018 .

Vibhav of Class 2A bagged a Bronze medal in 300 mt and a Silver medal in 500 mt Speed Skating Quads event in 4-6 yrs boys category, held at KBDAV Sector -7 Chandigarh from January 5, 2018 to January 7, 2018.

Arnav Sahoo, Gunveen Gill, Haroon Pal Singh Bedi, Krishneet Lamba and Shreya of Class IX of our School participated in the project based on studying Biodiversity under the Earthian Sustainability Education Programme. They received appreciation certificates for submitting the best project from the State for Wipro Earthian 2018 School category at a ceremony held on 16th April at New Public School, Chandigarh.

Devansh Bhalla (Class IV), Ayaan Mittal (Class IV), Akshita (Class V) and Aarav Srivastav (Class V)  secured in the range of 75 percent -90 percent in the Green Olympiad Result 2018-19.

Aarav Srivastav (V-F) of our School excelled in GREEN Olympiad Examination    (Level- I 2018-19) conducted by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi. He is declared the ‘State Winner’ from Chandigarh.

Yagya Vashist of class 7 bagged one Silver Medal in Roller Skating Junior inline event held at sector 10 rink from October 25, 2018 to October 28, 2018.

Yagya Vashist of class 7 bagged Silver Medal in Roller Hockey State level sub-junior Girls Inline Tournament held at KBDAV sector-7 Chandigarh from January 5,2018 to January 7,2018.

Anshul (Class XI-D) bagged the 3rd position in the Regional Level Brain Bee Competition held in PGI on 20.01.2019.

Neh Singla and Rehhan Chadha of Class V secured  Second position at the State-Level Project Presentation for National Children’s Science Congress 2018. The event was organised by environmental society of India at DAV School Lahore, Sector 8 Chandigarh on 8th December 2018 on the theme “Science, Technology and Innovation for a Clean, Green and Healthy Nation” along with 5 sub themes. The selected teams will participate at the National Level NCSC to be held from December 27 to 31 at Bhubaneswar and at 105 Indian Science Congress to be held from January 3 to 7, 2019 at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
