Class V: Trip to Kurukshetra
Class V went on an educational trip to the Holy city of Kurukshetra, famous for the epic war between Pandavas and Kauravas, the Gita updesh by Lord Krishna, on 5th October 2013. With a view to impart ideas and ideals enshrined in the Mahabharata and to enlighten the students the first stop was the famous Sri Krishna Museum. The trip also included visit to Science Panorama City where students got first-hand experience of various science theories made easy

Roald week celebrated from 23rd Sept.-27th Sept.
Roald Dahl week was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh to highlight the value and importance of reading. The weeklong activities aimed at giving an insight to the students of classes V to VIII about the author and his collection of books. Various activities like Book Mark Making; Poster Making, Book Reviews and Crossword/ Word search puzzles were organized in the school library to revive the declining reading habit amongst the students.

Deepakshi (Class IX) secured Second position in the Coffee Cup Making Contest during International Coffee Festival organized by Tourism department, Chandigarh and CITCO in September 2013.
Workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Delhi Public School, Chandigarh conducted a workshop on Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation for the children of Class IX and X to equip them with life-saving skills. Dr Sandhya and Dr Nidhi Bhatia from the Department of Anaesthesia conducted the interactive session. The two doctors demonstrated to the students how to do CPR on a mannequin.
Shaira Kansal receives a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-
Shaira Kansal of Class XII has been honoured by the Chandigarh Sports Council and received a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- for her outstanding performance in Archery at the International Level. She had bagged a Gold Medal in an International Archery Event in the 5th TAFISA World Sports for all games held in 2012 in Lithuania, Europe.
