State Level Events

Our students brought laurels to the school by receiving several medals in UT Inter School Swimming Competition 2017-18 held at Delhi Public School Sector 40, Chandigarh from August 30, 2017 to August 31, 2017.The list of the achievers is as follows:

Siona Arora of class VIII won Bronze Medal in U14 Girls category in UT Inter School Gymnastic Event held at Sports Complex Chandigarh on August 2, 2017.

Our U17 Boys team comprising of Adit Gupta(9A), Arnav Gupta(9F), Samar Sodhi(9F), Gurkirat(9H) and Arman Sandhu(10G) won Silver Medal in UT Inter School Table Tennis Tournament held at Table Tennis Hall, Sector-23 Chandigarh from August 27, 2017 to August 29, 2017.

Our U17 Boys team comprising of Uddayvir Singh, Gurustat Singh Makkar, Chirag Malthora, Akshay Sawal and Arunab Singh won Gold Medal in UT Inter School Tennis Tournament held at Lake Club, Chandigarh from August 12, 2017 to August 23, 2017.

Our U14 Boys team comprising of Aarav Joshi, Jiwaj, Rishi Dhaiya, Yatharth and Ajit Singh Dhiraj won Silver Medal in UT Inter School Tennis Tournament held at Lake Club, Chandigarh from August 12, 2017 to August 23, 2017.

Our U14 Girls team comprising of Prachi Batra, Radhika , Sehaj, Ridhi and Prathamjot won Silver Medal in UT Inter School Tennis Tournament held at Lake Club, Chandigarh from August 12, 2017 to August 23, 2017.

Our U19 Girls Chess team comprising of Aditi Goel(12E), Dolcy Garg(12E), Eshita Bhatia(12A) and Ishita Arora(12B) bagged Third Position in UT Inter School Competition held at GMHS Sector 38 Chandigarh from August 2, 2017 to August 12, 2017.

Our U14 Boys badminton team comprising of Abhiroop Sarkar(6G), Tejeshwar Singh(8H), Arnav Saini(7C), Arnav Kansal(8B) and Poonya Vashisht(8F) bagged Third Position in UT Inter School Competition held at GMHS Sector 43 Chandigarh from August 2, 2017 to August 12, 2017.

Our U14 Girls badminton team comprising of Mili Verma(7D), Pranjal Sood(8B), Medha Kansal(8B), Shreya(7A) and Seharpreet Bedi(7B) bagged First Position in UT Inter School Competition held at GMHS Sector 43 Chandigarh from August 2, 2017 to August 12, 2017.

Our U17 Girls badminton team comprising of Vrinda Rana(9c), Prisha Kohli(9A), Divya Arora(7C), Akriti Sharma(9C) and Nandini Bahugua(9A) bagged First Position in UT Inter School Competition held at GMHS Sector 43 Chandigarh from August 2, 2017 to August 12, 2017.

Our School team bagged First position in Annual Inter DPS Dance Festival 2017 (Zone 1) held on August 5 2017.

Our team comprising Chaitanya, Akshat Jagga, Akhilesh Shetty and Aryanpartap Singh of Class XII secured the First position in ‘Hackathon 2017’ conducted by Infosys on 29 & 30 July 2017 at their IT park campus, Manimajra. The students prepared a project on ‘Hostel Management’ in which they introduced the concepts of Machine learning and augmented reality. Interestingly, the students opted to be judged in the College level pool instead of the School level pool and outshined 29 other college teams. The Principal, Ms Reema Dewan, congratulated the team and expressed great pride on such an outstanding achievement.

Tej Pratap Singh Gill (Class VII), Jasnoor Kaur Bains (Class VII) and Anvi Mahajan (Class X) were declared State Winners from Chandigarh by TERI on the basis of their excellent performance in Green Olympiad (2016-17)

Aryan Bhatti (XB), Shivam Mittal(XH), Raghav Goel(IXA) and Dhruv Chopra(XE) bagged Bronze Medal in 4X100 mts Relay Race in U-17 Boys Athletics U.T. Competition held at Sports Complex Sector 7 Chandigarh from November 28, 2016 to November 30, 2016.

Hitakshi of class VII bagged Bronze Medal both in Long Jump and 100mts race in U-17 Girls Athletics U.T. Competition held at Sports Complex Sector 7 Chandigarh from November 28, 2016 to November 30, 2016.
