Sports Achievements

Samaira Dhaliwal, of class 8B won a gold medal in the Eagle Cup under 10m air pistol category organised at Sector-14,Panchkula.

In U.T. Inter- School swimming competition 2023-24, our school students made us proud. This event was held at DPS Chandigarh, sector-40C from 1^st to 4^th September.

Our school Under-17 boys team bagged bronze medal in the UT Inter-School Chess competition. The team members are –

This was organised by Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-18C, Chandigarh, U.T Chandigarh on 1st and 2nd September 2023.

Our school boys Table Tennis team bagged silver medal in under-14 category in the U.T. Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament organised by Education Department rom 19th to 20th August at Sports Complex sector-34 Chandigarh.

Our school girls Table Tennis team bagged bronze medal in Under-14 category in the U.T. Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament organised by Education Department rom 19th to 20th August at Sports Complex sector-34 Chandigarh.

Tanmay of class 8th participated in Jash-e-Azaadi Cycle Ride to mark the 77th Independence day in a very unique manner with Border Security Force (BSF)  deployed at border lines of the Chandigarh to Wagah-Attari International Border near Amritsar. It started at 4:00 AM on  14th Aug 2023 and finished at 2:30 PM on 15th August 2023. A total of 9 cyclists participated from Chandigarh.

Our school Under-14 girls team bagged the best team in Rhythmic Gymnastics by winning a gold medal in U.T. Inter-school Gymnastic Tournament. Team members are-

1. Samisha Taneja of class 8A bagged 4 gold and 1 silver and won the overall best gymnast title.
2. Tanisis Khanduja of class 7th won a gold medal.
3. Vimanshi won a gold medal.
4. Maysha won a gold medal.

This event was held at sector-7 Sports Complex on 21st August 2023.

Our school secured second position out of 56 schools in Junior Basketball NBA league. Our school players are eligible to give trials in Sub-Junior NBA for India(A) team.

Advait Ranganath of Class 4E won  first position in the Under-9 Chess Competition. It was organised by SAS Nagar Mohali on 20th August 2023.

Cherrish Chabbra of class 11 D won 2nd prize in Under-17 girls , 2nd prize in women’s single in First Chandigarh Table Ranking Tournament.

Mehul Chabbra of class 6F won 2nd prize in Under-11 age category in first State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament of Chandigarh from 7th to 9th July 2023.

Sherell Chhabra of class 7th won 1st prize in Under-13, 3rd prize in Under-15 and 3rd prize in women’s category in First State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament of Chandigarh from 7th to 9th July 2023.

Mehtaab Singh wins Under-11 final State Table Tennis Tournament organized by Sports Complex sector-50 D,Chandigarh.

Prabhasees Singh , class 8 bagged winners trophy in sub junior Badminton Competition  organized by Mohali District Badminton Association on 19.7.23 to 21.7.23.

Devanshi Jindal , class 9E participated in NRAI 10 metre Rifle Shooting Championship organized by Rifle Shooting Association, SAS Nagar from 1.6.2023 to 3.6.2023 at shooting range, Patiala ki Rao sec-25 Chandigarh and won a bronze medal.
