The students of class ll of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh were given awareness about the importance of safety and first aid during their General Awareness class. First aid is important as it is the emergency care given immediately to an injured person until appropriate medical treatment can be accessed before going to a doctor. The students were explained that a first aid box is a collection of essential supplies and equipment that are used to give medical assistance and it should be kept in an accessible place and stocked with the up-to-date items. They made a first aid box with all the required items along with the emergency contact numbers. They were explained about the usage and importance of the items contained in a first aid box. This activity helped children understand how to make their own first aid box that can enable them to care for themselves and others during an emergency.
