Delhi Public School, Chandigarh recently hosted ‘The Food Culture Playdate’ project, a two-day workshop organized by the French Institute in India in collaboration with Alliance Française de Jaipur and The Kindness Meal. The event, designed for Class VII students, aimed to introduce them to India’s rich culinary heritage, the health benefits of traditional foods, and promote cultural exchange.
On Day 1, “Playdate with Food,” students explored traditional Indian recipes and created their own recipe books. Day 2 featured interactive sessions where students learned to prepare regional specialties like Siddu, Sarson da saag, and Dal baati churma. They also shared family recipes and food stories, fostering cultural understanding and appreciation for India’s diversity.
The workshop was an engaging blend of learning, cultural appreciation, and hands-on fun, leaving students with a deeper understanding of India’s traditional culinary treasures.
