28th May 2025 marked the dawn of new leadership as Delhi Public School, Chandigarh celebrated the Investiture Ceremony. The induction of the Student Council, and the felicitation of the Class XII toppers of the 2024-25 academic session was organized with great earnestness and dignity.
The event was presided over by Dr. S.P. Anandh Kumar IFS, who is serving as Special Secretary Sports and Youth Services, Punjab. The event began with the invocation of the Divine with traditional lamp lighting, followed by an enthralling cultural program. ‘Abhi Aagaaz Hai’ a melodious symphony by the school choir gave a befitting start, followed by a captivating dance performance and an inspiring visual presentation instilling the power of self-belief.
The newly elected Student Council members were ceremonially presented with their badges by the Chief Guest, Dr. S.P. Anandh Kumar who not only congratulated the council members but also citing his personal anecdotes encouraged the students to take up their roles with courage and honesty. He emphasized the need to assimilate learning with holistic grooming to become responsible citizens of tomorrow.
The Director Mrs. Reema Dewan, in her address, congratulated all the appointees and underscored the essence of leadership as an expression of responsibility and accountability. She also urged the council members to give their best to the post they have been given. She also reminded the newly inducted members to be the leader they wanted their seniors to be.
The Head Boy and Head Girl delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests and participants. They promised to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities and hold the school motto high.
