Sports Achievements

Sherell Chhabra, Class VII A, won 3rd prize in women doubles in 36th Chandigarh Table Tennis State Championship.

Following studnets of DPS, Chandigarh brought laurels to the school by winning medals in the State Skating Championship held at skating rink, sector- 10 from 14th November to 19th November:

1. Yatharth Rana, III B – 2 gold medals
2. Arjun Kansil,III C- 2 Gold medals ,1 silver medal
3. Sifat Kaur, III D- 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals
4. Mansehaj,V G- 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal
5. Nibha Ashraf, VIII H- 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals
6. Arshiya, X E-2 gold, 2 silver medals

Yatharth Rana, Arjun Kansil, Mansehaj, Nibha Ashraf and Arshiya have also qualified for the National Skating Championship going to be held in Cheenai from 14th December 2023.

Cherish Chhabra, XI D won –

• 2nd prize in Women singles
• 2nd prize in Women team
• 3rd prize in Women doubles

in 36th Chandigarh Table Tennis State Championship for seniors.

Nitin Singh, X B won Gold medal in Roller Hockey Championship held from 11th to 25th December,2023. He scored 19 goals and was the highest scorer of the event. The championship was organised by R.S.F.I, Chandigarh

Once again our students exhibited astounding performance at The Inter School Athletics meet competition performance 2024. We ended up with total 7 medals comprising of 3 gold,
2 silver and 2 bronze. The winners are-

1)Gautmi 8B, won gold medal in Discus Throw U-14 Girls category.

2) Agriya 9G won bronze medal in Discus Throw U-14 Girls category.

3)Samisha 8A, won silver medal in Long Jump U-14 Girls category.

4)Amisha 9A, won bronze medal in Long jlJump U-14 girls Category.

5)Parth 11A, won Gold medal in 400 mtr race U-17 boys category.

6) Samisha 8A, won Gold medal in 400 mtr race Under-14 age girls category.

7)Anaaya 8A, won Silver medal in 200 mtr race Under-14 age girls Category.

Vibhav Vashist won silver medal in the 61st national roller skating championship held at skating rink, sector-10, Chandigarh from 11th to 22nd December 2023.

Arihaan Kundra VI B has won first runners up trophy at SIP Abacus Regional Prodigy Punjab held at Panchkula on 3rd December 2023.

Sifat Kaur of 3D won one silver and two bronze medals in State Championship conducted by Chandigarh Roller Skating Associations held at Skating Rink Sector 10, Chandigarh, held from 14th November to 17th November, 2023.

Arshiya of class 10 E brings laurel to the school by winning Silver medal in 1000 meters inline in National CBSE Skating championship held at Gurugram Global Heights School on November 27.
The competition consisted of 8 CBSE Zones and CBSE schools from middle East Asia.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Kavin Sood of class XII-D finished 3rd in the Boys Under 17 category at the Northern India Squash Championship, New Delhi (25-30 November 2023), proceeding to a top ten ranking on the national circuit and top twenty five ranking in Asia. Earlier this year, Kavin finished 5th at the 37th National Games in Goa whilst representing the state men’s team at only 16 years of age. Moreover, he led the boys school team to an intrastate gold and Rs 60000 prize money without dropping a single set throughout the competition. Our heartfelt congratulations to you!

Proud to share that Suhani Sharma, Class XI, a national Squash Player for the last four years, participated in the National Games 2023 at Goa representing the Chandigarh State Women Team. Earlier, in the State Squash Championship 2023, conducted in October, Suhani was the runners-up winning Rs 40,000 as prize money Besides, along with Ankita Sharma and Vaanya, she led the DPS U-17 girls Squash team to win the Runners-Up trophy, in the State Inter-School Squash Tournament 2023 conducted by the Education Department, Chandigarh Administration

Krishna Maria of class 8-A won the Runner’s up Trophy in B. C.Roy II Football National Tournament held at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh from 24th September to 8th October 2023.

Aryan of class XII E participated in 66th National school games 2022-23 in Handball. This event was organised by SGFI at New Delhi from 30th May to 10th June 2023.
