Achievements

Delhi Public School, Chandigarh proves its mettle once more. Jagrit Sood and Mukul Hooda of Class XI were crowned the State Champions of Chandigarh in Fit India Quiz 2022, India’s biggest quiz on sports and fitness conducted under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry.

After the Preliminary Round, from 16702 schools across India, Team DPS Chandigarh qualified for the State/UT Round where it again surpassed 75 schools to reach the finals. Facing an intensely competitive round, Team DPS emerged as the State Champion winning a prize money of Rs. 25,000 for the team and a reward of Rs. 2,50,000/- for the school.
The students will now participate in the National Finals of Fit India Quiz 2022 scheduled to be held in Mumbai.

Arin Pal and Mukul Hooda (Both from Class XI) attended a Five day Bootcamp Programme on Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship at NITTTR Chandigarh from 22nd June to 26th June 2023, organised by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The students unleashed their creativity through design thinking and discoverd the secrets of building a successful startup.

Adding another jewel to the crown, Parikshit Kapoor of X-G won the First position in an online national level debate competition held on June 6th, 2023 conducted by Class Ready National Debate Championship in which 75 participants from across the country participated.

Suhani Sharma (Class XI) is on the list of top performers of the ‘Sustainability Accelerator Program’. Our best wishes to her for being the Green Ambassador.

A proud moment for DPS Chandigarh as Abhiroop Sarkar of class 12 B achieved International Rank 2 in SOF International Commerce Olympiad 2022-23 held at Delhi on 28th May,2023. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs 37,500 along with a certificate and a medal.

A proud moment for our student Saara Bansal (Class XII) who received an appreciation letter signed by honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for her participation in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023.

Prabh Asees of class VIII, won Runners Up trophy in U-15 boys category in Badminton Doubles held at sports Complex sector-78, Mohali on 19th-21st May 2023. He also won a cash prize of rupees 2100/-.

Aarya Singh won first position and fifth position in overall  in Open Chess Tournament 2023, held on 20th and 21st May  at hotel Regenta Central , Zirakpur.

Samisha of class VIII A won first prize in Open Chess Tournament 2023, held on 20th and 21st May  at hotel Regenta Central , Zirakpur.

Cherrish Chhabra of class XI D, won gold medal in the Table Tennis Unified sports event organised by Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, on 19th May, 2023.

In first Inter school football tournament 2023 organised by Delhi Public School, Mohali from 16th May to 19th May 2023 , our school bagged first position in U-15 category. Team members are-

Sejal Garg of class XI C bagged gold medal in junior (52 kg) category in SIARIS National Taekwondo Championship held at Indira Gandhi stadium , New Delhi form 29th to 20th April 2023

Mehul Chhabra of class VI F won third prize in U-11 boys Table Tennis tournament held at Amritsar.
