  1. Simar Singh Tomar (Class XII) represented Anant Kumar Hegde in PSCEA and was awarded Best Position Paper for BVC Model United Nations Conference held from 4th to 6th August 2017 at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh.

  2. Saksham Gulati (Class XI) represented Canada in UNHRC and was awarded High Commendation for BVC Model United Nations Conference held from 4th to 6th August 2017 at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh.

  3. Our team comprising Chaitanya, Akshat Jagga, Akhilesh Shetty and Aryanpartap Singh of Class XII secured the First position in ‘Hackathon 2017’ conducted by Infosys on 29 & 30 July 2017 at their IT park campus, Manimajra. The students prepared a project on ‘Hostel Management’ in which they introduced the concepts of Machine learning and augmented reality. Interestingly, the students opted to be judged in the College level pool instead of the School level pool and outshined 29 other college teams. The Principal, Ms Reema Dewan, congratulated the team and expressed great pride on such an outstanding achievement.

  4. Tej Pratap Singh Gill (Class VII), Jasnoor Kaur Bains (Class VII) and Anvi Mahajan (Class X) were declared State Winners from Chandigarh by TERI on the basis of their excellent performance in Green Olympiad (2016-17)

  5. Students from Classes IV-X participated in the event ‘Science Extravaganza’ held at Carmel Convent, Chandigarh on 26th July 2017. The following students won prizes in different events:

    • Shambhavi and Sunaina (Class VIII-A) won 1st prize in ‘Clean India Green India’.
    • Divija Dewan and Navya Gupta (Class V-F) won 1st prize in ‘Serendipity’.

  6. Aarav Srivastav (III A) achieved the following laurels in various Olympiads in the year 2016-17:

    • IMO– Zonal Rank 2 (Level II), Zonal Gold Medal and cash prize of Rs 5000/-
    • NSO– Zonal Rank 1 (Level II), Zonal Gold Medal and cash prize of Rs 5000/-
    • NCO– Zonal Rank 2 (Level II), Zonal Silver Medal and cash prize of Rs 2500/-
    • ISKO– Zonal Rank 2, Zonal Silver Medal and cash prize of Rs 2500/-
    • IEO– Zonal Rank 5, Zonal Excellence Medal and cash prize of Rs 1000/-
    • UCO– All India Rank 14, Gold Medal and cash prize of Rs 500/-
    • To be awarded with ‘Academic Excellence Scholarship‘ of Rs 5000/- by SOF for his overall brilliant performance

  7. Akshat Jagga (XII D) has bagged a Scholarship of 1600$ from Apple to attend the launch of the latest Apple product to be held in California in June 2017. He is also one of the lucky few to have an interaction with Mr Tim Cook.

  8. Gayatri Mehta (Class VII) secured 63rd position in Unified Cyber Olympiad at the National Level held on February 5, 2017.

  9. Maryam Eqbal (IV-E) got International Rank 1 in the 7th International English Olympiad (Organized in partnership with the British Council). She received gifts worth Rs. 1000/-, International Gold Medal and a Merit Certificate.

  10. Esha Hooda (Class X-D) and Vansh Bhandari (VI-H) participated in the 24th National Children’s Science Congress held at Baramati (Maharashtra) from 27th to 31st December, 2016.

  11. Smera Mehta (Class X-B) participated in the Indian Children’s Science Congress, as part of the 104th Indian Science Congress, held at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh from 3rd to 7th January, 2017. The Indian Science Congress was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.

  12. In the 10th Regional Brain Bee Quiz Competition held at PGI, Chandigarh, on 7th January 2017, Ruthvik of Class XI-D bagged the Second position. He received a trophy and a gift voucher of Rs 1500.

  13. Our School team comprising of Esha Hooda (X-D), Smera Mehta (X-B), Ansh Ohri (IX-C) and Viren Talwar (IX-C) –Senior category ,got Second position in the 24th State Children’s Science Congress held on December 3, 2016 at National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Sector 26, Chandigarh.

    They had presented their project titled “Green buildings for Sustainable Development” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”, with special emphasis on accessibility for persons with disability.

    In the Junior category also, our School team comprising of Aaditya Sharma (VII-B), Vansh Bhandari (V-H) and Manhar Bawa (VI-H), got Second position.They had presented their project titled “Traditional Knowledge System” under the theme “Science Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development”,

    They will now participate in the 24th National Childrens’ Science Congress 2016 to be held at Baramati, Maharashtra from 27th to 31st December 2016.

  14. Aaryan Nagpal (VIII-B) got Zonal Rank 18 in the Second level of NSO (National Science Olympiad). The event was conducted at Kundan International School.

  15. Serat Rana (XII E) has been recognised for superior academic achievement by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) and has been selected to become a member of the esteemed organization. The Society  recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment. The announcement was made by NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, senior member of the family that established the Nobel prizes.
