Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted a two day CBSE Regional Science Exhibition

Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted a two day CBSE Regional Science Exhibition on 21st -22nd January, 2019.Thirty- five schools participated and a total of fifty-six exhibits under various sub- themes were displayed. The main theme of the exhibition was ‘Scientific Solutions For Challenges In Life.’

The exhibition aimed at providing a common platform to various schools and students to exhibit their innovative ideas and enhance students’ interest in Science and Technology. It validated the pragmatic approach to education.

The Principal, Mrs Reema Dewan, in her inaugural speech welcomed the  Chief Guest Mr R J Khanderao, Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula. She said that the importance of science in our day to day life can never be underestimated. Such exhibitions help students to apply their ideas, creative thinking skills and learn in their unique ways. She thanked CBSE for giving the opportunity to hold this prestigious exhibition. She also extended her thanks to Dr. Sweta Singh, Jt. Secretary, Academics, CBSE for the same.

A panel of six judges from the various fields of sciences, holding eminent positions in their respective areas followed a rigorous process to adjudge the winners from every sub-theme. The winners will participate in the National Science Exhibition which will be held on 8th &9th February, at Mayoor School, Noida.

The exhibition was attended by students of various schools and the whole event was a great success.
