DPS Chandigarh celebrates Independence Day with a difference

Delhi Public School Chandigarh celebrated Independence Day saluting the nation and the ‘Spirit of India’ on its 71st Independence Day. The staff and the students of Delhi Public School, Chandigarh marked the occasion by conducting a special morning assembly.

The school choir regaled the audience with melodious patriotic songs followed by an inspiring speech evoking the youth to build their national character and take pride in being Indian.

Also, on the occasion of the organ donation day celebrated throughout India on the 13thAugust, the students presented a poem as well as a street play to make people aware about the need of organ donation and to remove the hesitations and misconceptions regarding it.

The culmination was marked with a dance choreographed on the theme of patriotism. The highlight of the day was the Pre-Primary wing lauding the contribution of the freedom fighters and celebrating the diversity of India by personating them.
