Delhi Public School, Chandigarh organised the Annual Prize Distribution Function and Class Show of class V titled ‘Spring – a celebration of hope’. The students participated with zeal and enthusiasm and put up a spectacular show. The Guest of honour for the show was Mr. Akshdeep Mahajan, Chief Judicial Magistrate, District Courts, Chandigarh. He urged the parents to spend one on one quality time with their children. The Principal, Mrs Reema Dewan addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of building confidence among children through mass participation in class shows. She said that each and every child is important and has potential. It is up to the teachers and parents together to tap their potential. Academics is only one dimension of a child’s personality. We are constantly trying to reach out to every child. She also congratulated the students motivating them to strive for excellence.
The meritorious students were awarded badges and trophies for excellence in academics and co-curricular activities. The beating of drums, splash of colours, soulful music and dancers swaying in joy left everyone in trance. A scintillating play was staged conveying that acceptance of hardships and challenges paired with resilience gives us the courage to work towards a brighter future.
