‘No Horn Day’ celebrated in Delhi Public School, Chandigarh

Students of Delhi Public School joined hands with Rotary Club of Chandigarh to observe “No Horn Day India”. The International Noise Awareness Day was celebrated by the students as they sensitized the passersby and vehicle owners to reduce the level of noise in the environment by informing them of the health hazards  that  unnecessary honking  causes such as  deafness, ringing sensation in the ears (Tinnitus), high  blood pressure, and palpitations.

Some residents felt the event was a useful step in raising awareness among people and more such steps should be taken to actually reduce the honking habits of the people.
