National Road Safety Week

In an endeavour to spread awareness among the general public, the traffic police department started National Road Safety Week 11 years ago. The motto is ‘Time for Action’.

Wing Commander C.S. Grewal (Retd.), Chief Traffic Marshal, Ms. Uma Mahajan, Mr. R.L. Gupta and Ms. Vinika Sharma, Traffic Marshals made the children aware of traffic rules and common mistakes made on the road that can cost them their life. They urged the students to wear helmets, carry proper documents, wear seat belts and refrain from using mobile phones while driving.  They emphasized on the importance of understanding and following traffic rules. They shared their personal experiences with the students and sought cooperation to spread the message of safe driving.
